Introduction
HMI and SCADA software for building automation systems, advanced, can be enhanced to industrial control systems, fa ctory automation, environment monitoring, energy monitoring and control to saving power.

 

Overview

1.System Content
Based-on Ethernet, the system at least requires a S² server and a SMARTGUY, or SMARTGUY can operate independently. SMARTGUY offer SCADA function to build user interface (HMI) and support several field bus of UART to acquire discrete UART IO or combine computable smart IO to network.
2.Integrated System
The most features is full system integration as following;
(1) Integrated Items: building electric device automation, security and access control, surveillances system.
(2) Integrated functions: from device database, function module database, personnel database integration to the device interlocked control and unified user SCADA interface (HMI) of system physical operation.
(3) Engineering integration: On-line system work out, database creating, SCADA interface building, discrete RTU (remote terminal unit) configuration and data download.

3.Complete Operation Log
S² server is the database centre and SCADA HMI management centre of SMART system; handle the connectivity and status of every control module and record event and device status, automatically.

 

4.Distributed Architecture
After SMARTGUY configuration downloaded, the control module can run normally and record / handle any event of this subsystem. If the S² server was disconnected or power off, this subsystem still can execute and self-record the operation data regularly. For the important data, device operation, etc. can be held 1 ~ 24 hrs, and personnel on-duty record can keep one month.
SMARTGUY software and ICP DAS PAC (WINCON, HERO) is a complete function control module, including all functions of device automation, security and access control. Smart IO and CAN-bus IO offer multi-function combination, based-on tiny, discrete, high speed processing and price / engineering optimized.
5.Digital Video
DVR is the major digital video processing module. SMART cooperates with several DVR partner to offer video device and survillence integration.
6.Open Database
The built internet services of PAC (WINCON, HERO) could offer remote database maintenance, remote monitoring, and web services for common personnel. S² server, PC-based system, the major database built-on ODBC database, could integrate with MIS / ERP and offer more information services.
7.Authentication Management
SMART system can integrate public and private device or district management. For some private devices or districts were included into total management, SMART is able to offer specific operation privilege to ensure personal interests and privacy.
 
 
Architecture

SMART offer full function and convenient operation software package for HMI / SCADA.

Based-on discrete control concept, following the figure, SMART system could be separated into 3 tiers, the 1 st tier is the back-end system, S² server; the 2 nd tier is the middle-ware, SMARTGUY; and the 3 rd tier is the front data acquisition, RTU represented

 

1.S² server - (1st tier, back-end system)

  • Data processing centre, concentrate the data of SMARTGUY on this domain.
  • Based-on real time and historic record, via statistic and analysis to produce the trend chart, historic report, alert listing and event operation log.
  • Connect with management system (MIS / ERP/ …) and transmit data.
  • Mature lighting control system offer 3 tiers of group management and humanity user interface (HMI).
  • When the event triggered, based-on the ActiveX technology, the system matched up the buffer replaying of DVR or IP-CAM, immediately, display/store the important video.
  • Following the PID control technology to keep the constant temperature and pressure offering comfortable environment.
  • If there is some specific request to control the liquid chiller for the power saving, SMART system has the experience of WWE (wire-to-water efficiency) to take a project and cooperate with you.
  • Completely using ODBC editing function to read the personnel ID card to match up access control and automation.
  • Offer 200 sets integrated event interlock control and predicted control.

2. S² lite - (extra services for configuration and maintenance)

  • It's a free remote operation program, designed for remote operation to configure and maintenance SMARTGUY and RTU.
  • Just executed on regular surfing PC, running on Windows 98/2000/XP, it's easy to install.
  • The operation function is similar to SMARTGUY HMI, easy to learn and operate.

3. SMARTGUY - (2 nd tier, middle-ware)

  • Running on ICP DAS PAC (WINCON ? HERO) and combine SMARTGUY software to build the discrete control system (DCS).
  • Matched up S² server to build the complete SMART system, or operated independent to form a small control system.
  • Built SCADA matching the touch panel will own the perfect user interface (HMI).
  • On the demand of S² Server, transmit the collected data.
  • The script language make easily to form a operation environment.
  • Be the local alert and event processing centre and transmit these messages to S² server.
  • PAC (WINCON and HERO) running on Windows CE, it's convenient to port self-develop programs.

4. RTU - (3 rd tier, Remote Terminal Unit)

  • ICP DAS offer a series of fine quality DAQ (data acquisition device), I-7000, I-7188, I-8000, etc, to enhance the data acquisition of the front end device.
  • This open protocol, Modbus, help to connect with other device.
  • FRnet 2-wire cabling system decreases the wiring effort and increase the performance.
    Advanced,forming the 2-wire lighting control system enhances the system performance.
