Modbus es un protocolo de comunicaci\u00f3n serial, es decir, se comunica bit por bit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para moverse, utiliza dos interfaces muy conocidas de comunicaci\u00f3n serial, <a href=\"https:\/\/tienda.logicbus.com.mx\/familias-sealevel-rs-485\">RS-485<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/tienda.logicbus.com.mx\/familias-sealevel-rs-232\">RS-232<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tienda.logicbus.com.mx\/familias-sealevel-rs-232\">RS-232<\/a> utiliza 3 cables, por lo que tenemos un cable que transmite, uno que recibe y un com\u00fan, esto nos facilita la comunicaci\u00f3n d\u00faplex para enviar y recibir bits de informaci\u00f3n en una comunicaci\u00f3n punto a punto. De esta manera podemos \u00fanicamente tener un dispositivo de un lado y un dispositivo del otro.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En contraste, <a href=\"https:\/\/tienda.logicbus.com.mx\/familias-sealevel-rs-485\">RS-485<\/a> utiliza \u00fanicamente 2 cables y se basa en la diferencia de potencial entre ambas l\u00edneas para determinar los bits que se env\u00edan y hacia qu\u00e9 direcci\u00f3n van. El lado receptor, no puede comunicarse de regreso hasta que el bit de comunicaci\u00f3n inicial se haya recibido. Bueno, Modbus RTU\u00a0 es una l\u00ednea diferencial y de datos en cascada por lo que la entrega se realiza organizando los dispositivos en maestro y esclavo. Puedes tener solamente un maestro que es qui\u00e9n inicia la comunicaci\u00f3n y posteriormente al recibir un mensaje el esclavo puede responder con informaci\u00f3n. Ning\u00fan esclavo puede hablar a menos que se les haga llegar un mensaje. Como el canal solamente puede soportar un mensaje a la vez, solamente se puede tener un maestro, ser\u00eda imposible tener dos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Todos queremos saber siempre, \u00bfc\u00f3mo hablo con mis dispositivos en Modbus RTU?, \u00bfqu\u00e9 debo leer? La mayor\u00eda de las veces tenemos registros unsigned de 16 bits acomodados en paquetes, de manera que \u00fanicamente tendr\u00edamos que seleccionar el espacio correcto para conseguir informaci\u00f3n.
